Since the first part is directed at me, I'll reply to it. I agree with you that touhou is killing/has already killed the j-core scene, due to the amount of shitty touhou remixes popping up in the past year+. Major props to the artists that havn't been influenced by it a whole lot, like kenta and betwixt.

I also agree with you on the whole freeform artists thing. A heck of a lot of these artists have been appearing on non-jcore labels; major freeform Finnish labels like FINRG, or the Electronica Exposed label. These guys know what they're doing, and the complexity of freeform music definately speaks for itself; their music sounds amazing, +1 to them.

And to answer your question; yeah, I support these artists and have imported a number of these cds, and plan on importing more in the near future. I think I have a right to complain about what I'm listening to, as opposed to the leeching dumbasses on this board that have never spent a penny on this music, and have no plan on spending any in the future; yet all they do is whine about not getting what they want... How about you man up and buy some shit and support these artists first; then we'll gladly listen to you.

Agreed with the touhou clusterfuck this year, but I don't see where the freeform and j-core is going. Or rather, where is the enticement? People like sharpnel shits your speakers with the random tracks of distorted speech excerpts and hardcore beats. Kenta and Betwixt are guilty of the same shit. There are notable good tracks produced by these freeform and j-core artists, but most of them consist of poor melodic composition or some form of extremely euphoric beats that takes away the focus of the composition altogether. A rather good j-core artist would be someone like M-PROJECT and EVOL as they maintain their beats but have some coherence in their tracks. I think many people would also agree with this statement that a lesser form of hardcore and edging on trance is preferably more enjoyable than the repetition that shits out the speakers via freeform and j-core, artists like Lv.4, MINAMOTOYA, or DJ SHIMAMURA. I'm keeping this out of preference, but the difference between the genres and their quality clearly shows.
