lolwut?

the reason neet stood out to me was the vorbis encoding and superb tagging. only thing missing is vorbisgain'ing, which is done easily enough on my end. why mess with football?

pic related.

Heh, sorry about not releasing this stuff in Ogg Vorbis, we was going to do dual releases then drop which was less popular..

...BUT I opted to just stick with MP3, I do apologize, though I'm not going to change which I encode with, sorry :(

Please don't worry too much about it! While NEETcore has chosen another path, NEET's going to release music in the same way as before! Also, NEET will start running VorbisGain against all releases. Good? Satisfactional? Awesome?!

By the way, out of curiosity (which is an awesome Yatoki Tsukasa/Sound Online song), which music player are you using?

PS. That's a neat script, mind posting it? I don't want to type it all down!!

Awesome. :D

Script upped here: http://pastebin.osuosl.org/1465

Amarok, usually, though I've been using mpd for a couple of weeks now. It's good for streaming my music collection through Icecast when I'm not at my desktop comp, ncmpc/ssh/screen is a wonderful combination, and with irssi/rtorrent/mc I hardly ever leave the laptop. :P

Sadly, it doesn't have queueing ability, musicbrainz integration, advanced tagging, statistics, etc., so it's no replacement for Amarok, and I usually prefer that if I have something locally. Previously, I used x11/ssh forwarding to just run it on the main comp. That was replaced mostly by mt-daapd, and now mpd. (Also: running the above script made mt-daapd able to recognize a thousand more mp3s than it previously did. No problems with ogg at all, tho'.)

Anyway, I want to thank you guys for releasing music sensibly, it's refreshing. Thanks.

LAME is bearable, pretty much nothing chokes on it.
