NEET releases music in the
Ogg Vorbis format only. This is because the format–at the same time as being Free and open source–performs very well at low to high bitrates, and is supported by every proper audio player. The
AoTuV tuned Vorbis encoder is used, because it produces better quality files than the official Xiph.org encoder.
Unless some insane new format appears soon, we'll keep using Ogg Vorbis.
Why do we bother using Ogg Vorbis, when the files won't play on your iPod? They just might do with
